In support of UCLA's commitment to support underrepresented students with identities that can hinder their ability to excel both academically and personally, the limited position is based in the Black Bruin Resource Center (BBRC). A department within UCLA Student Affairs whose overarching mission is to assist students in effectively navigating the university by providing information, referrals, and support. In the service of this mission, the BBRC provides specialized services and programs to the black and African American student population and those individuals who wish to learn more about the population.The incumbent will assist training of new staff, volunteers, and mentors; program administration by researching vendors and costs in compliance with University policies; compile data and write reports; maintain program records; work on websites, social media and promotional pieces; facilitate requests for presentations and tabling for campus and department events; attend staff program event; answering phones and responding to inquiries; maintaining common spaces and help administer programs; manage reservations for conference rooms in both locations; inputting student request for printing services; follow up with staff signed up for liaison hours; other duties as assigned.
