Description
Responsible for managing Citi’s documentation day to day processes and work flow for multiple desks within the LSTA market.
Drive and initiate communication with internal and external legal counsel to accelerate closing process while ensuring Citi’s legal risks are mitigated.
Establish a strong track record of feedback for a team of 4 to 7 LSTA par closers and outside counsel performance around output in closing process from a both a tactical and strategic perspective.
Primary escalation point for al! l challenging business items with the ability to judge the pro! per level of escalation for critical control or client issues.
Independently gather relevant information and provide weekly status presentation to internal desk, senior management as well as risk around the performance of the team as well as individual trades.
Drive process/procedural improvements within the closing group with both internal and external partners.
Development of closing team talent in order to continue the best in class standing of Citi’s closing unit.
Responsible for ensuring all activity within the Closing unit is completed within accepted guidelines and controls developed to ensure compliance with our internal audit standards.
Maintain knowledge of industry developments and trending within the loan trading market.
Cultivating strong relationships with internal business partners as well as developing a strong personal brand with outside clients.
Qualifications
Subject matter expert o! f LSTA Par Closing market and working knowledge of syndication/LMA par closing
Knowledge of distressed and claims trading a plus
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent job experience
Strong organizational and time management skills
Must be able to handle highly demanding external counterparties and supported trading desks
Develop resolutions for escalation and develop improved processes to prevent future occurrences
Exceptional written and verbal communication
Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office with focus on Word and Excel
Able to effectively analyze legal documentation such as credit agreements
Minimum of 2 years’ experience within loans industry
