Description:
Leads medium to large projects impacting one or more functional areas. Builds project teams throu! gh negotiation with resource managers for team members with appropriate skill sets. Delegates, coordinates and prepares project documentation. Maintains project data in automated project management systems, such as SDLC and Change Management tools. Provides relevant, timely and accurate communication to Senior Management, Team Members, and other project stakeholders. May set time and cost goals for projects and ensures projects attain cost, time and quality goals, managing one or more projects simultaneously. Able to manage through all project related processes with minimal guidance.
Knowledge Skills/Experience: 6+ years of related experience. Strong analytical, planning and problem-solving skills. Ability to schedule using automated tools. Excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to tailor communications based on the audience. Hands-on Project Manager with the desire to work extensively with team members. Demonstrated leadership, pe! rsonnel management, financial management, risk management and ! planning abilities. Strong expertise in Project Management with experience in risk identification/mitigation, resource allocation/monitoring, budget monitoring and proactive communication to team members and project stakeholders of project status. Credit Card Regulatory, Legal and/or Compliance experience is required. Experience defining/redefining infrastructure technology support models Ability to interview business stakeholders to define project charters while managing scope leveraging existing internal technologies whenever possible. PMP certification is required. Experience in managing Feature Driven Development projects.
Candidates with the following traits excel in this position: Technical software development background early in their career allowing them to understand team members concerns and how best remove roadblocks to make their team members successful. Financial Services experience (credit card or deposits). Solid Technical Project Manager wit! h experience managing projects requiring software development, system integration and technical infrastructure refreshes. Experience leading teams comprised of Business Analysts, Application Developers, DBAs, Network Administrators, Microsoft/Unix Administrators, Telephony Administrators, Storage Administrators and other technical resources. Ability to learn quickly.
