Description: GCC Consulting is hiring Intellectual Property/Attorney/In House/Newark, Delaware right now, this position will be delegated in Delaware. Intellectual Property Counsel Healthcare Sector / Attorney The candidate will be responsible for drafting and prosecuting US and foreign patent applicati! ons, rendering patent-ability, validity and infringement opinions, and preparing, negotiating and interpreting patent and know-how licenses and other agreements relating to intellectual property. Primarily supports R&D and Business Development teams. Should have B.S./B.A. degree in chemistry, biology, biochemistry or other life-sciences discipline.
J.D. degree and admission to practice before USPTO and at least one State Bar required. Must have 5+ years of patent experience in chemistry-related arts (most preferably including some biochemistry experience) with some experience in engineering-related arts including mechanical and computer software experience. Should also have experience in patent preparation and prosecution, and preferably at least some exposure to opinion writing (patent-ability and freedom-to-operate), and agreement drafting, negotiating, and interpretation.
