This opening is for teaching Earth & Space Science with Lab component. Applicants for this position should meet the following criteria:
Masterâs degree in a Physical Science (geology or astronomy preferred) OR a Bachelorâs degree in a Physical Science (geology or astronomy preferred) plus a Masterâs degree in Education
Strong communication skills
Experience in teaching at the post-secondary education level
Experience in the discipline
Provide relevant work experience to the instructional content of the course
Blackboard Technology experience is a plus
In addition to the minimum education, work-related, and co! mputer skills, applicants are expected to:
Understand the mission and values of Wilmington University
Work within tight deadlines required of a 7-week Block format curriculum
Know various instructional strategies designed to meet the course instructional objectives and add to student learning
Develop a personalized course outline designed to follow basic course information provided by the University
Possess good writing skills and provide a writing sample when requested
Complete Blackboard Training and then attend the Universityâs 3-week online training program so as to demonstrate Blackboard mastery in the classroom
