Overview:
The Credentialing Specialist maintains pertinent credentialing information for all providers in order to meet the credentials, standards and requirements of hospitals, affiliated facilities, and healthcare networks.
Responsibilities:
- Maintains and updates credentialing files, provider rosters, and CAQH/Proview database, in compliance with regulatory standards
- Initiation and Maintenance of Provider licensure, certifications, and insurance coverage
- Initiation and Maintenance of Facility and Network Affiliations
- Answers, researches, resolves and documents credentialing issues
- Ensures the timely and accurate submission of data to ensure deadlines are met
- Acts as liaison between providers and affiliated facilities and networks regarding credentialing and re-credentialing activities
- Communicates pertinent updates and changes to management.
- All other clerical and administrative duties as assigned.

Skills & Abilities
- Works independently with minimal supervision.
- Able to effectively problem solve, prioritize and meet deadlines.
- Posses excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Maintains confidentiality of sensitive information.
Education & experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum one-year experience in a medical office or hospital contributing to, completing, or processing credentialing applications and required documents of providers.
- Experience in data entry, effectively demonstrating high quality and attention to detail and accuracy
