Responsibilities:
Experienced professional to be primarily responsible for directing and managing the Company’s government and regulatory affairs activities.

Includes the following (other duties may be assigned from time to time):

Devise and implement a comprehensive government relations, public policy and regulatory affairs strategy for the Company;
Work in conjunction with, and oversee the efforts of, outside consultants to promote InterDigital’s government relations and public policy positions within the relevant government and regulato! ry bodies;
Proactively engage with political and other sta! keholders and serve as a key spokesperson for the Company with respect to government and regulatory affairs;
Possess and be able to leverage in-depth knowledge of the regulatory and legal landscape involving patent prosecution and/or enforcement, intellectual property, technology standards and/or wireless technology;
Oversee fundraising for and contributions by the Company’s political action committee;
Be a self-starter able to independently and routinely interface with key political stakeholders and others who can impact the outcome of relevant legislative and regulatory efforts;
Provide confident advice, counsel and support to management on government and regulatory matters affecting the Company’s business or strategy;
Maintain regular contact with and be willing to travel to the Company’s offices, in particular the Company’s headquarters, located in Wilmington, DE; and
Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
T! o perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. College degree (B.A., B.S.) required; Juris Doctorate (J.D.) from ABA-accredited law school preferred; at least 10 years of related experience gained on the Hill or within the executive branch

Must have strong English language skills and be a highly effective communicator. Ability to communicate effectively and persuasively (verbally and in writing) on behalf of the compa! ny when interfacing with government and/or regulatory agencies, public ! officials or members of the business community.

Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
If candidate is a practicing attorney, then a state bar membership is required.
Supervise the efforts of outside government and regulatory affairs consultants
member.
The physical demands are those consistent with desk work and attending meetings/conferences; some travel will be required.
