Trust Officer
Location: Wilmington, Delaware

This position will be responsible for handling the daily administration of High Net Worth (HNW) and Ultra High Net Worth (UHNW) personal trust relationships. Assists in gathering new business in conjunction w! ith the Trust Consultant. This position also oversees an assigned account load.
Position Responsibilities
- Communicate effectively with HNW and UHNW clients and their Financial Advisors (FA) or Investment Representative (IR) regarding their trust, agency or custodial accounts
- Accompany Trust Consultants on new business meetings with prospective clients and FA/IRâs
- Interpret and implement legal terms of trust instruments, court orders and other trust related legal agreements
- Communicate effectively with attorneys, accountants and other professionals in assisting clients
- Review each relationship at least annually to ensure compliance with trust terms, proper fee allocation, proper documentation, etc. (Compliance/Legal requirement)
- Complete and/or review IRG forms in preparation for Regulation 9 investment reviews as well as monitor investments in conjunction with the Investment Group
- Monitor and repo! rt excess and overdrawn cash and correct as needed
- Dr! aft and present discretionary distribution memos to Management Review Committee as required
- Review trust documents to determine income/principal distribution
- Act as liaison between client, FA/IR and the Personal Trust Investment Group, Trust Operations, Special Assets and Tax
- Oversee and execute client bill payment, tax payments and any other disbursements for the benefit of beneficiaries or the trust
Skills Required
- Undergraduate degree or commiserate experience required
- Graduate degree and/or law degree preferred
- Certifications such as CFP, CTFA, CFA preferred
- At least ten years experience as in personal trust
- Advanced knowledge of trusts including all charitable vehicles such as unitrusts, annuity trusts, lead trusts, private foundations, estate planning, and! trust taxation
- Knowledge of trust investment portfolio strategies
- Demonstrated analytical, decision-making and effective problem resolution skills
- Excellent oral and written communications skills
