Senior Trust Real Estate Adminstrator

Location - Wilmington, DE

Basic Function

Performs real estate risk reviews in accordance with Wealth Advisory Services policies, procedures, practices and regulations. Ensures compliance with all real estate policies and procedures, which include but are not limited to, payment of real estate expenses, payment of taxes, appraisals, insurance coverage, inspections, maintenance and repairs, collection of mortgage and rent, sales ! and purchases, management of lease agreements, and real estate! annual reviews. Participates in department and corporate projects and training as needed.

Essential Position Responsibilities

Handle the day-to-day internal and external communications with PCAs, RMs, FAs, in-house counsel, outside attorneys and advisors, clients, real estate agents, contractors, vendors, etc. associated with real estate transactions. Follow up with the appropriate parties to obtain necessary documentation, approvals, estimates, contracts, receipts and other forms required for compliance purposes.

Establish and maintain a level of trust real estate expertise that is respected and utilized, while increasing awareness of compliance requirements, particularly in regard to the acceptance, purchase and sale of, and capital improvements on, real estate.

Monitor compliance with established real estate policies and procedures, including, but not limited to, supervision of the appraisal and inspection process; approval of payment! s for real estate taxes and expenses, insurance coverage, maintenance and repairs; collection of rent and management of lease agreements.

Coordinate and participate in the real estate annual reviews, insure that the SEI, TRMS and Master Trust insurance databases are accurate, complete and generate the necessary compliance reports, and insure that all proper documentation is on file.

Incumbent is responsible for the coordination and analysis of Trust Real Estate transactions and must demonstrate the ability to communicate clearly with internal and external clients. This position requires technical competency and a strong understanding of real estate laws and compliance with those laws.

Basic Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree, or in lieu of degree, 4 years of related experience. Minimum 7 years of experience in a Banking or Financial Services organization.

Must be highly skilled in Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, etc) and able to! rapidly learn new software applications.

Strong interpersonal! skills with the ability to build a significant level of trust with internal and external clients.

Ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Trust, Audit or Compliance experience and basic investment knowledge desirable

7 years of Trust or Real Estate experience required
