Description: GCC Consulting is presently looking of Trust and Estates/Attorney/In House/Wilmington, Delaware right now, this job will be ordered in Delaware. Chief Compliance Officer The candidate will ensure that the Trust Company is in full compliance with all applicable statutes and regulati! ons. Will maintain up to date policies and procedures manuals for the Trust Company and ensures that staff are aware of their compliance obligations in carrying out their day-to-day responsibilities. Oversees administration of Trust Company s Fiduciary Compliance Program, including the Policies and Procedures Manual, and updates as necessary. Conducts appropriate compliance validation testing. Play active role in committees overseeing activities of the Trust Company, e.g., Account Review Committee to insure an appropriate compliance environment. Reviews account files to assure that compliance obligations are being fulfilled. Assures that staff is kept current on laws and regulations, including, annual BSA/AML training and customer privacy training. Promptly reports any compliance issues to Senior Management. Act as liaison between Trust Company, Internal and External Audit, the Emigrant Legal Department and regulatory authorities. Advises on the risk management and complian! ce implications of proposed new products and services.
A Law Degree is highly preferred, B.A./B.S. degree minimum. Should have 5+ years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination and experience, such as law practice in the trust and estates discipline. Prior experience should include financial institution compliance, particularly with a trust company or trust department and experience interacting with federal and state agencies that regulate financial institutions.
