Bayard, P.A. is currently seeking an experienced legal assistant to handle administrative functions related to our growing litigation practice area. This position offers great opportunities for the! right candidate. The candidate should be proactive, eager to learn, and possess highly developed organizational skills including the proven ability to prioritize a heavy workload and meet deadlines.
Editing and proofreading various legal documents and correspondence
Experience with electronic filing at all levels of Federal and State Courts
Managing calendars and travel schedules
Interacting effectively with attorneys, support staff, and clients
Maintaining file management system, including electronic files
Entering attorney billable hours into accounting software
Editing and finalizing bills
Maintaining and managing attorney case-lists
Proficiency with MS Office Suite
Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and work within a team
Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
Strong interpersonal communication and organizational skills
Flexible with overtime
