SUMMARY The position is responsible for reviewing, analyzing and executing financial transactions, cash flow, construction draws, insurance policies, bank and vendor credit and various other corporate administrative duties.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
à Perform financial analysis for corporate and project specific matters: o Prepare financial proformas; o Recommend corporate cash flow strategies; Monitor and invest excess cash when and where appropriate , with direction from executive management ; o Gain detailed understanding of project development budgets and assist development division as necessary. o Assist in preparing corporate cash flow projections with information obtained from the Accounting Department and with cash flow estimates derived from analysis of project timelines obtained from the Development Division.
à Monitor , review and complete various investment and operating account transactions : o Revi ew and approve invoices, review and sign checks o Initiate and/or approve various ACH and wire transfer transactions o Function as Administrator and secondary approver for online banking systems
à Act as contact for various bank and vendor accounts and relationships: o Complete and/or review credit applications; o Respond to requests from banks and creditors o Assist in p repar ation and submission of loan applications, forms and other documents required by banks o Work with attorneys, lenders and investors to satisfy various legal and regulatory requirements. o Account administrator for American Express Corporate Card account o Primary corporate contact for Dun & Bradstreet o Primary corporate contact for Hertz account o Primary corporate contact for Quality Builders Warranty program o Primary corporate contact for payment and performance bonds o Annual signing and submission of 1099 s, audit confirmations and 5500 returns
à Assist with project and loan closings:
o Prepare initial draws and sources & uses for closings o Obtain appropriate insurance coverage s for project closings o Assist in obtaining bank letters of credit as needed for project financing requirements o Facilitate collection, distribution and review of due diligence materials for sales, acquisitions, appraisals, and other third party reports. o Post closing, work with Accounting Department staff to ensure proper initial setup and establish process for monthly draws during constructions/rehab period.
à Review, monitor and obtain various corporate and project construction period insurance policies: o Act as primary contact person for insurance agents o Obtain, monitor and review insurance policies for appropriate coverage and costs o Obtain competitive bids on a periodic basis o Submit and follow-up on insurance claims when necessary
à Perform duties to assist the C orporate S ecretary o Assist in preparation and execution of various corporate resolutions and certificates o Attest corporate officer signatures on a variety of documents o Assist in maintaining corporate minute books as needed.
à Portfolio Management:
o Prepare annual updates to corporate Real Estate Owned schedule o Prepare annual updates to corporate list of contingent liabilities o Maintain current list of bank Letters of Credit o Prepare and update as necessary previous participation lists, create 2530 submissions, and monitor entity flag reports for all related entities in the HUD APPS online system
REPORTS TO Chief Financial Officer (CFO)
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES This position currently has no supervisory activities that are to be executed independently.
DECISION MAKING/IMPACT Decisions routinely affect more than one department and sometimes the entire company.
EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION/TRAINING The minimum education required for this position is a BS in Finance or Business & Economics . No licenses are required for the position. Training in the use of computers, spreadsheets and word processing is required. Knowledge of construction draws preferred. Five to ten years of experience in business finance, treasury, banking or accounting is required to perform the tasks and responsibilities of this position.
