Position will cover AL, MS, AR, LA and parts of Florida and will require up to 50% travel.As a Technical Service Specialist, you create chemistry by… Financials and Reporting Achieveing regional sales objectives as assigned. Submitting monthly reports to the Regional Manager to include customer issues, product issues and T&E actual. Managing T&E budget and submitting accurate expense reports on a timely basis. Distributors/Shops Working with distributors to identify customers that require assistance with products. Working with distributors to set up and facilitate paint clinics to include clinic logistics, agenda, invitations, presentation preparation and presentation delivery. Conducting product demonstrations for new and prospective distributors working with the Account Representative. Educating distributors on the benefits of BASF products and services. Providing product training to new, existing and prospective distributors and shops. Resolving shop customer complaints and technical problems. Assisting Account Representative with rolling out new products and/or technologies. Working with the training group to effectively coordinate required training sessions for customers. Assisting distributors with the identification and conversion of new collision repair accounts. Following up with customers to determine satisfaction with products and services. Implementing and promoting key technologies as identified by the Strategic Initiatives group. Personnel Management Performing performance management activities to include self-assessments, adhering to corporate processes and deadlines. Ensuring all corporate and business training is completed. Reviewing expense reports for accuracy and submitting on a timely basis. Effectively working with colleagues and promote a team environment throughout all departments of the business group. Sales Force Automation Tool Supportting SFA as the tool to be used by all sales personnel. Information in the system must be updated and maintained weekly. Information to be logged into SFA call activity tab must include customer visited, meeting attendees, issues discussed, issues resolved, issues needing further review, next steps and others needing involvement. Communication Communicating on a regular basis with colleagues/leadership to ensure the sales organization is working as a unified team. Safety and Quality Promoting a safe working environment. Adhering to proper use of PPE requirements and company physical/medical programs. Practicing safe driving techniques and adhere to all company car policies and procedures. Reporting all accidents and incidents into the accident reporting database in a timely manner. Practicing the documented Quality policies and procedures as outlined in the Quality system.
Qualifications - BASF recognizes institutions of Higher Education which are accredited by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation or equivalent
