We are currently looking for a part-time housekeeper at The Oakhurst Inn. Our housekeepers are essential to the success of a hotel as they keep the premises clean and orderly for our guests.
This is a perfect job for someone who wants to work, get in and clean and leave for the day.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Ensures guest room cleanliness, including making beds, dusting and vacuuming, sanitizing the bathroom, replacing supplies; and cleaning windows and mirrors.
- Handles chemicals according to instructions and familiarizes oneself with all material safety data sheets.
- Ensures a clean, stocked, and organized cart with enough supplies.
- Reports maintenance issues in a timely manner through appropriate channels.
- Records and stores lost and found items.
- Communicates with guests in a professional and friendly manner.
- Restocks the housekeeping cart at the end of the shift with supplies.
- Report hazardous conditions at work or equipment to the General Manager.
Qualifications & Skills
- Ability to work a flexible schedule
- Excellent customer service and oral communication skills
- Previous housekeeping or general cleaning experience is a plus but not necessary
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift up to 30 pounds.
- Capable of pushing/pulling 100 pounds.
- Able to bend, stretch, and twist
- Capable of standing for long periods of time
- Working with chemicals according to directions
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $15.50 - $18.00 per hour
