Senior Paralegal

Document Discovery, Global -- This role is aligned with the Global Legal Enabling Unit within the Records Management and Document Discovery Team. Primary responsibilities for this role include litigation/general legal support, document collections, and litigation hold communication.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Provide attorney and general case support to assist with complex litigation
- Produce summary memoranda and communicate case related issues to all levels of internal and external counsel and stakeholders
- Maintain productive and collaborative relationships with internal and exte! rnal counsel and key stakeholders
- Manage document, da! ta and information collection and retention efforts
- Identify relevant people in the business to provide information needed to defend the company
- Liaise with the business as needed for support
- Assist with document discovery in relation to overall case strategy
- Manage case related vendor relationships and review vendor invoices for accuracy
- Prepare, issue and maintain legal hold communications to staff including responding to questions and issues from custodians/system owners
- Manage case related documentation and other information in a meaningful and accessible manner
- Maintain a case management log to manage workload
- Create transition memos when transferring case work to internal or external resources
- Support the development and maintenance of RMâ procedures and processes
- Maintain collaborative relationships with IT, eDRT and individuals in the business
- Ability to co! llaborate across the team both internally and externally to achieve objectives
- Strong communication skills and ability to work locally and regionally to achieve meaningful results
Requirements

- University (higher) education (or equivalent with relevant experience) including paralegal course work and certification (or demonstrated work towards certification)
- Five or more years of experience in law firm or related legal environment including understanding of the litigation process
- Experience in the pharmaceutical industry is a plus
- Experience in all aspects of discovery, including the use of litigation support applications
- Proven interperso! nal, communications, presentation and assertiveness skills
- Exc! ellent team working skills
- Good ability to express oneself in English, both verbally and in writing
- Excellent organisational skills and ability to prioritize workload
- Problem solving and analytical thinking
- Willingness to learn and try new ideas
