Description: GCC Consulting is in need of Banking/Attorney/In House/Wilmington, Delaware right now, this vacancy will be placed in Delaware. Attorney - Consumer Banking Duties: Provides general legal counsel to the consumer banking businesses, as well as specific advice on products, services and certain legal actions. Reviews legal contracts and documents. Directly, or through staff, conducts legal research. May represent the bank in legal actions. Provides general legal support and counsel to the Bank s Consumer Credit Card Marketing organization as well as to other areas within the Credit Card line of business that support marketing. Provides legal counsel to ! the consumer banking businesses, focusing on consumer credit c! ard marketing. Advises on proposed credit card marketing initiatives and strategies. Works closely with line of business partners on development of new product launches. Manages two paralegal's who do primary review of card marketing materials. Provides secondary review of more complex marketing materials. Reviews and develops disclosure templates to be used in credit card marketing materials. Regularly consults with compliance and operational risk partners to evaluate and improve marketing practices. Collaborates with legal partners supporting consumer card products, customer channels, credit/underwriting, and privacy. Stay abreast of legal and regulatory developments impacting consumer credit card marketing, including via legal research work.
Qualifications: A J.D. degree with 5+ years of experience in practicing law in consumer banking natters. Admission to the Bar is a must. Consumer credit card product law and consumer marketing knowledge. Demonstrated ! knowledge and solid understanding of consumer card products, customer channels, credit/underwriting, and privacy rules and regulations. Experience in reviewing advertising strategy, copy, and disclosures and Legal research work. Experience in drafting, structuring and reviewing legal documents, Experience in managing a small staff.
