Private Client Fiduciary Advisor Duties: Serves as the primary officer supporting the sale and service of trusts, investme! nt agencies, and custody accounts. Facilitates and maintains the internal business review process necessary to determine Wilmington Trust Company s ability to accept new fiduciary business opportunities. Acts as a key interface with clients and their advisors in developing and implementing solutions. Responsible for assessing and managing risk; the appropriate exercise of fiduciary discretion and judgment; and adherence to policies and procedures related to account opening activities. Pre-acceptance review of trust documents and applicable law to uncover any potential legal, tax, operational, investment or administrative pitfalls. Provides support for establishing new trust accounts and coordinates the new account opening process in compliance with all policies and procedures. Represents Wilmington Trust to clients, centers of influence and professional organizations so that Wilmington Trust continues to be viewed as the expert in this market sector. Participates in sales e! ffort with Private Client Advisors, as appropriate, through co! ordination of client presentations, bringing in additional experts as needed. Keeps abreast of current trends and changes in trust, estate, tax and fiduciary law. Prepares trust planning and administration presentation books based on client preference. Serves as training resource to Administrative Associates and junior level staff. May have direct external and internal contacts at all levels.
Minimum Qualifications: A Bachelor s degree or 4 equivalent years work experience. Strong organizational skills. Proficiency with MS Office and ability to pick up new software. Strong interpersonal skills with ability to build a significant level of trust with clients, their advisors and with Private Client Advisors. Some limited-duration travel may be required. Qualifications Preferred: CFTA, CFP or J.D. degree with concentration in tax, trust and estate law. 5+ years of trust management experience or equivalent experience working with complex legal documents. Experien! ce with trust and tax planning and some basic investment knowledge. Experience with trust software; Global Plus and/or SEI. Experience in managing client relationship accounts.
