Location: Wilmington, Delaware
Description: Hire Counsel is hiring Temporary Paralegal -- Collections right now, this occupation will be depute in Delaware. Detailed specification about this occupation opportunity please read the description below. Our client, a large corporation, is looking for a litigation paralegal to assist their attorneys in a wide variety of tasks. This position will support a team of attorneys that p! rovide daily advice to the Unsecured Collections and Recovery line of business. An understanding and working knowledge of litigation practices and relevant consumer collections laws and regulations is preferred, with particular emphasis on FDCPA and UDAAP. This position will also assist with the launch and support of the new State-Level Attorney Certification Process and will involve the review, auditing and assessment of outside counsel who are filing collection suits on behalf of FIA Card Services against customers who have defaulted on their credit card payments. The paralegal function requires use of discretion and independent judgment in matters of consequence to the bank and its clients. This position will likely involve interaction with Outside Counsel and LOB clients, with minimal supervision.
Required Experience
Availability -- Must live in or be able to commute to Wilmington, Delaware
Experience -- Must have Bachelors degree or Paralegal! degree/certificate or 2+ years of relevant business experienc! e, litigation experience is preferred. Must be able to multi-task. Excellent communication and organizational skills are critical
Travel required -- 50% travel required
Project Details
Start Date: Within the next two weeks
Duration: Long term through the end of the year
Schedule: 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday
Rate: $22.50 per hour with OT expected
