A Trade Mark Counsel is a lawyer and business partner who provides legal advice concerning trademark, trade dress, design, copyright, domain name and related matters. Additional g! eneral commercial legal work outside of these areas is possible. The role consists of a combination of global, regional and local responsibilities and clients.
Responsibilities:
- Engaging with and providing legal advice to assigned clients concerning trademark, trade dress/design, copyright, domain name and related matters involved in the clients' business activities.
- Managing risks and the Company's assets related to trademark, trade dress, design, copyright, domain name and related matters involved in the clients' business activities.
- Collaborating with others, both within and outside the Trade Marks Group ("TMG"), to establish strategies and best practices concerning trademark, trade dress, design, copyright, domain name and related matters involved in the clients' business activities.
- Managing outside service providers.
- Managing the financial aspects of assigned work.
- Leading teams of TMG members i! n both routine work and special projects.
- Participati! ng and representing the Company in external associations or initiatives related to trademark, trade dress, design, copyright, domain name and related matters. Minimum Requirements * Member, in good standing and active status, of at least one state bar.
- Significant trademarks experience.
- Strong strategic thinker
- Strong written and oral communication skills, including proficiency in English
- Collegial, precise, performance-driven, professional Preferred Requirements * Previous experience in the pharmaceutical industry.
